A new addition to the mechanics team

We are delighted to welcome our new colleague Willem to Lareka! In March, he joined our team as engineer focusing on the BTB25 and NP60 machines.

Willem has years of experience both in engineering as well as mechatronics, with a passion for technology that is a perfect match with our work. At his previous employers, he did a lot of design work but he also assembled different types of machinery, including units for the semiconductor industry and electric city buses.

What will Willem be doing?
As part of the technical team, he will mainly be involved in:

• Assembling and testing our machines in the workshop
• Tailoring customer-specific format sets to customer packaging requirements
• Installations and service visits to customers worldwide
• Providing technical support during FATs and training sessions

Introducing...
"My first month has flown by! The smaller teams mean that each team member has a wide range of tasks, which makes the work really varied. Furthermore, the atmosphere is friendly and I’m finding the machine very interesting. Finally, I love chocolate, so that’s a perfect match!"

In his spare time, Willem can be found in his garage where he tinkers with old cars and motorbikes as a hobby, a true techie at heart!  Otherwise, he relaxes by crafting with his son or reading a thriller.
