Built for craft, engineered for growth: Three new machine deliveries in the UK

Updated: 02 May 2025

Lareka is proud to announce the delivery of three of our premium chocolate packaging machines to passionate and creative chocolatiers across the UK and Ireland. While each of these brands has a unique identity and story, they share one thing in common: the desire to scale without compromise. Our role? We deliver tailored packaging solutions that support their craftsmanship, production goals, and brand vision.

Meet our newest partners:

Quirky Chocolate (Edinburgh, Scotland)

Known for their viral chocolate Brussels sprouts and a bold, playful approach to premium chocolate, Quirky Chocolate embraces Scottish identity and flavor in every bar. They needed a flexible solution to handle multiple formats and designs while maintaining artisanal quality.
We provided our BTB25, allowing quick format changes in 15 minutes, perfect for their diverse packaging needs. Even better, the machine works seamlessly with their existing materials, helping them retain supplier relationships and save on costs during the transition.

Josh Chocolate (Cornwall, England)

A family-run brand rooted in Cornish tradition, Josh Chocolate crafts handmade bars just steps away from the family’s elderly home, creating a truly heartwarming community connection.
Together, we developed a packaging format allowing both 70-gram and 100-gram bars to be wrapped using the same size set. Their machine supports both full envelope and banderol wrapping styles, maximizing efficiency with minimal investment. A great example of scaling tradition with smart simplicity.

The Chocolate Smiths (Newcastle, England)

What began as selling a few handmade bars at a local market has since grown into one of the UK’s most recognizable and bold chocolate brands. The Chocolate Smiths are best known for their Bizarre Bars, which feature unexpected flavor combinations, chunky toppings, and unapologetically fun packaging. Each bar is a surprise in both taste and appearance.
With rising demand and a growing fanbase, they needed a solution that could keep up without forcing them to simplify their creative approach. We provided a packaging machine that is highly tolerant and adaptable to their extreme product variations, including bars with filled centers, uneven surfaces, and added textures. Now, their production can scale while every bar still feels as hand-crafted and unique as it did on day one!

At Lareka, we believe that exceptional chocolate deserves exceptional packaging. Our machines are built to adapt to creative formats, complex shapes, and existing materials so that artisan chocolatiers can grow confidently without compromising their brand identity or product quality.

These four new installations mark a significant step in our growing presence in the UK market. We’re proud to support chocolatiers who combine craftsmanship with innovation, and we look forward to more collaborations ahead!
